January 16, 2024 — Marist is now accepting applications for its new Master’s in Marketing Communication program, or MAMC. Formerally known as the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) master’s program, this revamped fully online degree is tailored to meet the demands of a rapidly changing marketing landscape and equip students with strategic marketing communications skills.

The program provides professionals with cutting-edge tools, positioning them as industry leaders who shape brand behaviors, execute successful marketing campaigns, and enhance organizational reputations.

Dr. Wenjing Xie, Associate Professor and Director of the Marketing Communication Master’s Program said, “By the end of the program, students will be able to develop professional marketing communication campaign strategies using a variety of tools that solve business problems and capitalize on business opportunities. They will be able to create messaging for diverse audiences that drives desired brand behavior and evaluate business problems to construct innovative and original solutions.”

Expanded Courses & Customizable Concentrations
The reimagined Marketing Communication program will now offer 10 new courses that cover the areas of social media, digital communication, health communication, public relations, advertising, fashion, and risk communication.

With six core courses and four electives, the curriculum enables students to specialize in one of three concentrations: digital marketing communication, health communication, or strategic leadership.

The health communication and strategic leadership concentrations allow students to earn certificates, supported by Marist’s online MPA Program.

100% Online
Fully online with flexible full-time (one year) and part-time (two years) tracks to choose from, the new marketing master's program provides an accelerated approach to career advancement for communications and marketing executives.

Graduate students in the program will gain access to an innovative and cutting-edge curriculum from the comfort of a virtual setting. Regardless of their chosen learning environment, MAMC students delve into topics such as social media analytics, global consumer insights, branding, social and digital marketing strategies, and digital storytelling.

Calling All Future Marketing Leaders
A key feature of the Master’s in Marketing Communication program is its immersive case study approach, fostering a profound comprehension of real-world issues and events. The curriculum blends theoretical and hands-on coursework, meticulously crafted and guided by faculty with robust academic and industrial backgrounds. This approach aims to refine students' analytical skills, equipping them for their future roles as leaders in the field of communications.
